Hailing from Greenville, South Carolina, Kristine Kruta is a professional cellist,
arranger, composer, and music producer now living in Brooklyn, New York.
Both a committed studio artist and performer, Kristine has contributed to countless albums, film scores, and live performances since moving to New York in 2008. These include national broadcasts for America’s Got Talent, So You Think You Can Dance, T-Mobile, GE, Switched at Birth, Jane by Design, MTV’s Top 100 Music Videos, and soundtracks for Sundance Film Festival, the Tribeca Film Festival, First Run Film Festival, Woodstock Film Festival, and Brooklyn Film Fest. In 2016, Kruta composed original music for OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, and has collaborated with several independent and commercial recording artists including the Eagles, Vince Gill, Chelsea Cutler, Jeremy Zucker, Hailee Steinfeld, Metro Boomin, Vérité, Doe Paoro, Kaki King, Lauryn Hill, Casey Benjamin, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Aminé, Anderson .Paak, Shawn Mendes, K.Flay, De La Soul, Common, Estelle, BJ The Chicago Kid, Brandy Clark, Jacky Cheung, Rob Roth, Damien Escobar, OBERHOFER, The Wonder Years, Ace Enders, Violents & Monica Martin, Tim Kubart, and more.
As a producer and orchestrator, Kristine founded Little Kruta: multi-genre orchestra focused on uplifting women and formulated for all music services: contracting, arranging, recording, composing, and performing. Comprised of master musicians who are just as comfortable in the booth as they are in front of an audience, the foundation of this orchestra is built on a true love of playing. Since its inception, Kristine has co-produced multiple collaborations with a variety of artists including Chelsea Cutler, Gabriel Garzón-Montano, Anna Shoemaker, Kaki King, The Wonder Years, Vérité, Doe Paoro, and Sunni Colón, and has appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (Liam Gallagher, Aminé, Metro Boomin x Gunna), Late Night with Seth Meyers (K.Flay), Saturday Night Live! In 2017, Kristine joined world-renowned rock group the Eagles as Principal Cellist for their 2017-2018 US tour and is the Orchestral Co-Leader and Principal Cellist for their 2019-2022 Hotel California Tour (US, Europe).
In 2021, Kristine won a GRAMMY Award along with her cast of Broadway’s JAGGED LITTLE PILL, directed by the Tony Award-winning Diane Paulus and featuring original music by GRAMMY Awards-winning Alanis Morrisette and Glen Ballard.
